Unusual Dip Pens
Triangular Pen
Scottish Tartan pens
This broom novelty pencil/pen is most unusual. The tiny ivory-topped pencil comes out the end while the pen is protected by the tubed wooden broom handle.
Real porcupine quills were fashioned into pens. Often the very sharp ends were also covered with a cap of sterling silver. This is another quill pen. Please note the end sterling cap. This came in its own wooden slide panel box.
This pen is made from a shark spine.
Ivory pens were very expensive, so these three pens were made to look like ivory but they really are early plastic called French Ivory.
These Victorian pens are both decorated with gold. One is leather on wood while the other is Tortoise shell with raised gold designs.
This pen has a carved feather end.
