Even the solid colored glass pens are interesting because of their great textures. Strip and Swirl glass pens The 1939 New York World's Fair exhibited these pens in a glass tube marked "Corning Art Glass."

Wooden and bakelite tubes were made to protect delicate glass pens. Measuring a jumbo 11" long, this glass pen was probably made at the "end of the day" with leftover glass.
